Artcade 2016

Attention video gamers, film buffs and art enthusiasts of all kind! The Academy of Interactive Entertainment and the Lafayette Science Museum are proud to present their second annual Artcade! Formerly known as iFEST, Artcade is a one day event dedicated to promoting video game development, independent film, and music and art that is unique to Acadiana.

The free event kicks off on May 14th, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm at the Lafayette Science Museum. Video game and animation development companies such as Wisp Entertainment and Parallax Visions will be in attendance along with Lafayette native Nicholas Laborde, founder of Raconteur Games. For the art crowd, local artisans will feature their creations and projects made here in Acadiana and will have available items for sale to the public. There will also be a live art show featuring professional artists that reside in Acadiana. New to Artcade, this year will feature a free Smash tournament to those who sign up beforehand.

After a 700+ attendance last year, AIE and the LSM are pleased to welcome you back for another night of awesome games, music, and art. Those wishing to compete should email all entries to meganh@aie.edu. Deadline is May 7th!
