AIE Students Launch “The Most Epicest Snowball Fight Ever!” on Steam
Students from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) have launched their turn-based tactics game, The Most Epicest Snowball Fight Ever! on Steam with a planned released date of August 27, 2025 on Steam.
Set in a snowy suburban neighborhood where school is cancelled and imagination reigns supreme, players take on the role of kids defending their homes from imaginary monsters using snowballs, cocoa, and wild powers. The game features strategic combat, environmental cover, and a growing arsenal of fantastical abilities as players progress through increasingly chaotic snowball battles.
Developed by student group ‘Team Snowball’ as part of their major game development project, the game has already captured attention at the Seattle Indies Expo, where players praised its charm and creativity:
“A refreshing and self-aware take on turn-based strategy — playful, immersive, and full of heart.”
“The abilities, visuals, and imagination-fueled gameplay make this an incredibly fun and creative experience.”
“Instantly enamored by the adorable art style, animations, and concept — this game is pure childhood joy.”
“A really solid tactics game with charming character design, clever abilities, and a delightfully imaginative twist.”
AIE Game Programming Instructor, Terry Nguyen, is proud of his student’s achievement: “The team really put a lot of love into making a challenging genre like a turn-based tactics game into something charming and accessible.”
“Behind every game release is an immense amount of work that goes into bringing an idea from pitch to execution. I'm incredibly proud that our students successfully worked through some tough decisions, big questions, and challenging issues that came up along the way” said Terry.
Be among the first to experience the most epic snowball showdown ever imagined before it is showcased at Seattle Loves Indie Creators Expo (SLICE) on August 27 and then PAX West, running August 29 until September 1, 2025.
