Scholarships

AIE offers scholarship opportunities for students on the basis of academic merit and financial need. To apply for a scholarship at AIE you must have applied for one of our programs.

All supplemental Scholarship Application documentation not uploaded with the application can be submitted via email.

AIE Academic Excellence Award 

This scholarship is offered to students on the basis of their academic achievements. This 2-year scholarship is awarded to incoming 1st year students.

Required Documents for Consideration:

  • Completed High School Transcript or Current in-progress Transcript if current Senior
    • Students with Academic College Credit should submit Official College Transcripts in addition to High School Transcripts
  • Three Letters of Recommendation
    • A minimum of 1 recommendation letter must come from a teacher/professor that is in the field of art, science, or technology.
  • Resume
  • A Written Statement addressing the following topic How will you be better positioned for industry based on your academic or community achievements as well as the degree/certificate you are interested in pursuing here at AIE?
    • The written statement must be a minimum of 250 words.

AIE Community Outreach Award

This scholarship is offered to students on the basis of merit and financial need.

Required Documents for Consideration:

  • Completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid submitted to AIE using the following school codes.

  • A Written Statement addressing the following topic Based on my current financial situation, how receiving an institutional scholarship will assist me in reaching my career goals.

AIE Game Changers Scholarship Award

AIE's Game Changers Scholarship recognizes and supports emerging talent, nurturing the next generation of game artists, game programmers, game designer, and 3D animators. This award is designed for students who exhibit outstanding potential in their chosen field.

Required documents for consideration:

  • Portfolio of work as related to the stream of study they are applying for. This portfolio can be submitted at the time of interview.
  • A written statement outlining their career and/or entrepreneurial goals. The written statement must be a minimum of 250 words.

Scholarship deadlines

Fall 2024 Intake 

  • Scholarship applications are currently open
  • Scholarship Deadline: 5pm, July 31, 2024

Spring 2025 Intake - Game Art

  • First Round Application Deadline: 5pm, Monday November 18, 2024
  • Second Round Application Deadline: 5pm, Monday December 16, 2024

Any scholarship applications received after these dates may be considered on a case-by-case basis as funding allows.
